Ujjain....Kingdom Of Mahakaal Bholenath

Ujjain.... One of the best place must visit,if one is big bhakat of Bholenath. Shiv as Mahkaal rules the place.
Today, let me have the pleasure to Share my experience of visiting the city of Mahakaal.

One can reach there easily till afternoon,by Trains like Malwa Express,Intercity Express  direct to Ujjain or can take any train to Indore and from there can reach easily to Bhole Nagri Ujjain.

After reaching there, got to know the most interesting story that is really difficult to believe but yes its really true.

It is believed that..in Ujjain no one from politics, king of any other kingdom or any other person associated to the senior in level can not spend a single night in Ujjain.
There are various myths behind this. Some says that Because Ujjain the was the city of Raja Vikramaditya, the most loyal person.... he doesn't want any corrupted or fake person in his city to stay.It is his magic that such persons can not stay there.

Another story behind this is religious. As this is city of God Shiva, and is believed that two Raja at one place can not stay together, thats why it is Bholenath who is rulling Ujjain not allow such persons to spend a single night there.

It is believed that such persons can stay only outer the River Shipra, also called Mata Shipra by the local..which flows surrounding the city.

After reaching Ujjain, one can take any hotel to stay as there are a lot of them near the Mahakaal Temple. After having some rest and food, first thing is to visit the Mahakaal Temple which is in the mid of the city. One of the most beautiful and well maintained and organized temple of God Shiva.
There are various LED Screens places at many places in the city and in temple on which on can view the Live darshan of Mahakaal Shivling anytime.

Story behind the Mahakaal Temple is that it is one of the Jyotirlingas created by the pieces of the big original Shivling.

One can feel the peace inside the temple with the ausawm views. Lakhs of birds stays in the center of the temple in a tree, which gives a beautiful view when fly in groups. Sad but good thing is that Camera,Mobile etc are not allowed inside the temple. Good is because in their absence only, one can enjoy the beauty And bad because one cannot capture the sceen.
Take the pleasure of viewing every Aarti live.

Bhasam aarti is the most special one. In this the Raakh from the dead and burned people is used to do the aarti. Everyday one Pandit used to go Shamshaan in mid night and brought the fresh raakh to follow the rituals. Women's are not allowed to view this. And there is special dress code for this aarti, Lungies/dhoties for the Men's and Saaree for the Women's with the goonghat only.

After the Mahakaal Temple And the Aarti Darshan, one can enjoy visiting the local sight seeing.
